Children and adults can start at a beginning level and not only learn to ride, but also learn the care the horse requires. From grooming to bathing, and everything in between, our trainer will give you a better understanding of the involvement in forming a lifelong bond with the horse.
The teaching method is centered on providing a complete horsemanship education. A professional, quiet atmosphere allows the rider to excel at his/her own pace without unnecessary distractions.
The goal is for each rider to become self-sufficient in caring for the horse and knowledgeable in riding technique.
Children and beginners of any age start out with a one-hour lesson encompassing a broad spectrum of the horsemanship education, emphasizing safety and respect for the horse, grooming, and tack. Then into the saddle for a half-hour of riding. This type of hands-on learning in a structured environment leads to formal training that the student can take with him/her when dealing with horses in real-life situations.
lessons provide one-on-one instruction. We have found that this is a suitable lesson for adults just starting out who are not accustomed to the strain of riding, as well as the intermediate or accomplished rider with a specific aspect of riding that needs further training.
